The Purple
Look

Make sure every branch of your 7 ft Royal Fir Christmas Tree has been carefully fluffed before you begin adding any decorations. Properly shaping your tree at the beginning creates a fuller silhouette and gives every arch, pick and spray somewhere to sit naturally.

To help, you can stand back every few minutes while fluffing to check how the tree is looking from a distance. This makes it much easier to spot any uneven areas that remain.

Once you’re happy with the shape, position your Brown Wicker Tree Collar around the base before the rest of the decorating. The warm wicker finish creates a natural contrast against the rich purple decorations and gives the tree a grounded, elegant foundation.

Start the main design by adding your Purple Bauble Cluster Arches. Begin towards the lower section of the tree, placing your first arch on the right-hand side so it starts at the outer edge and angles inwards towards the centre. Use the loops at either end to attach it securely to the branches.

For the second arch, move slightly higher and over to the left-hand side. Again, start towards the outside of the tree and angle the arch in towards the centre. This begins the alternating pattern that will continue up the tree.
Continue adding the remaining Purple Bauble Cluster Arches, working upwards and alternating between the left and right-hand sides.

Keep each arch on a slight angle and leave some greenery visible between each layer so the design does not become too heavy. As the tree becomes narrower towards the top, bring the arches slightly closer towards the centre to follow the natural shape of the tree

Next, add Purple Glitter Leaf Picks throughout the tree, focusing mainly on the areas of greenery between the Bauble Cluster Arches.

Use the picks to fill the spaces and carry the rich purple colour further into the tree. Vary the direction and position of each pick as you work, spreading them evenly from the bottom right up to the top.

Continue building the design with another layer of Purple Glitter Leaf Picks, using them to fill the remaining areas of greenery.

Place them between the Bauble Cluster Arches and around the first layer of picks, filling any larger gaps and helping the purple detail feel more evenly spread across the tree.

Again, vary the direction as you work. Allow some picks to extend slightly further out from the branches to give the tree a fuller, more textured finish.

Next, add Purple Coral Picks throughout the tree, focusing them mainly around the outer edges and sides.

Let the coral branches extend slightly beyond the greenery rather than tucking every pick too far in. This creates contrast against the fuller glitter leaf picks and bauble arches, while adding a more delicate texture around the outside of the tree.

Space them from bottom to top, varying the direction as you work so the finish feels natural and balanced.

Take your Purple Glitter Leaf Sprays, setting one full spray aside for the topper later, and cut the remaining sprays down into individual stems.

Use these smaller stems to fill the remaining gaps throughout the tree, nestling them between the Bauble Cluster Arches and the picks already in place. Work across the whole tree, varying the direction of each stem and using them anywhere larger areas of greenery are still visible.

Next, cut your Purple Firework Sprays down into individual sections before placing them throughout the tree.

Nestle the smaller firework stems between the Bauble Cluster Arches and the different layers of foliage already added. Spread them throughout the tree rather than concentrating them in one area, so you get small bursts of sparkle from top to bottom.

Vary the direction of each stem as you work, using them to fill any remaining spaces and add one final layer of texture and movement.

Finish the tree by using the full Purple Glitter Leaf Spray you set aside earlier as a simple coordinating topper.

Position it into the top of the tree, allowing the leaves to fan out among the surrounding picks. Adjust the spray until it feels secure and naturally connected to the decorations below.

Because there is already plenty of detail throughout this look, a single spray is enough to finish the top without overpowering the rest of the design.
