The Purple & Gold Look

Now repeat the same process using your 15cm oversized purple baubles, again mixing matt, shiny and glitter finishes throughout the tree.

Position them between the larger decorations, continuing the same natural decorating style rather than working in perfectly even sections. These baubles help connect the larger focal pieces together, creating a smoother flow of colours across the tree.

Complete the main purple bauble layer by adding your 10cm purple baubles throughout the tree. These smaller decorations help create a fuller, more balanced foundation for the decorative sprays and picks.

Use these smaller decorations to fill the spaces between the 15cm and 20cm oversized baubles, with a little more focus towards the upper half where smaller decorations sit more naturally.

With the bauble foundation complete, it’s time to introduce gold detail by adding Gold Berry Sprays throughout the tree.

Position each spray in the larger spaces between the baubles, working the stems slightly into the branches so they feel like part of the tree itself. Angle them gently downwards to create a soft, flowing appearance through the foliage.
Distribute the sprays evenly from top to bottom, using them to break up the larger sections of greenery while complementing the rich purple baubles. Their cascading shape adds movement and helps introduce the gold accent colour throughout the design.

Once the Gold Berry Sprays are in place, add Gold Glitter Twig Picks between the existing decorations.

Position each pick so the delicate branches extend naturally beyond the foliage, helping to create a more open and layered silhouette. Vary the angle and direction of each pick as you work, allowing some to sweep outwards while others reach slightly upwards through the branches.

To introduce another layer of colour and texture, add Purple Glitter Coral Picks throughout the tree.

Position most of the picks around the outer edges and sides of the tree, allowing their delicate branching shape to remain visible against the surrounding space. This helps extend the silhouette without covering the baubles or gold decorative stems.

Use a smaller number of coral picks through the centre of the tree as well. This carries the purple tone through the whole design and helps the outer decorative details feel connected to the rest of the tree.

To complete the decorative pick layer, add Purple Glitter Leaf Picks throughout the tree. Use them more sparingly than the previous stems, placing them between other picks and sprays. Rather than creating a new focal point, these picks help soften the gaps between the larger decorations while carrying the purple tones through the design.

Position them so the glittered leaves peek through from behind the baubles and decorative stems. Their softer shape contrasts beautifully with the twig picks and berry sprays, giving the tree a more layered and luxurious finish.

With the decorative stems in place, add 10cm gold baubles in matt, shiny and glitter finishes.

Unlike the purple baubles, which create the main foundation of the tree, the gold baubles should be used more selectively. Position them evenly throughout the branches, placing them amongst both the outer and inner sections of the tree to create warm highlights.

Used carefully, they bring contrast and cohesion without overpowering the purple colour palette.

To help tie the whole look together, add purple glass baubles throughout the remaining spaces.

Rather than hanging them all deep inside the tree, position some close to the outer tips so they can catch the light and add extra sparkle. Use a mixture of shapes and sizes to create a more detailed, decorative finish.

Finish the tree with a Gold Glitter Twig Tree Topper to create height, movement and a striking final detail.

Rather than sitting like a traditional star or angel, this topper should extend naturally from the top of the tree. Fan the glittered branches out in different directions so the shape feels full and airy without looking too symmetrical.

This mirrors the Gold Glitter Twig Picks used throughout the tree, creating continuity from top to bottom while drawing the eye upwards and completing the overall silhouette.
