Step-by-step

Step 1 Shape Your Christmas Tree and Add a Tree Skirt

Make sure every branch of your 7 ft Pre-Lit Snow Flocked Spruce Christmas Tree has been carefully fluffed before you begin adding any decorations. The snow-flocked branches create the perfect wintry base for the ice blue, silver and white colour palette, while the pre-lit lights add a soft glow throughout the tree.

When shaping a flocked tree, gently separate the branches rather than handling them too heavily. This helps keep the snowy finish looking its best while creating a fuller silhouette for your decorations.

Once you’re happy with the shape, position your Pom Pom Faux Fur Tree Skirt around the base before the rest of the decorating. The soft white texture works beautifully with the snow-flocked branches and creates a cosy foundation for the frosted look.

Step 2 Start with Oversized Ice Blue and Silver Baubles

The largest decorations should usually be added to your tree first. So for this ice blue, silver and snowball look, begin with your 20cm ice blue and silver baubles.

For this design, the colours are layered more intentionally rather than mixed evenly throughout the whole tree. Start with your ice blue 20cm baubles, positioning them around the lower section of the tree, before adding your silver 20cm baubles.

Tuck the baubles slightly into the branches rather than placing them right on the outer tips. Their oversized scale helps fill the tree from within and creates the foundation for the smaller decorations and snowy details that will be added next.

Step 3 Build Up the Bauble Layers

Continue the same layered effect as you work your way up the tree, adding 15cm and 10cm ice blue and silver baubles.

Keep following the same colour placement, gradually reducing the size of the baubles as the tree becomes narrower towards the top. This keeps the design balanced while allowing the ice blue and silver tones to flow naturally through the snow-flocked branches.

As you reach the very top of the tree, switch to 5cm and 6cm baubles. The smaller sizes allow you to continue the colour layers right to the top without overpowering the narrower branches.

Step 4  Add Snowballs Throughout the Tree

Next, add snowballs throughout the tree, using them to fill the spaces between your baubles.

Rather than following the coloured layers, scatter the snowballs evenly from top to bottom. Their soft white texture breaks up the ice blue and silver while adding another snowy element that works beautifully against the flocked branches.

Position some snowballs deeper into the tree and others closer to the front. This helps build depth while keeping the snowy texture visible across the whole design.

The Finished Look

And there you have it – a beautifully full Latte, Ice Blue and Navy Christmas tree, built up through layers of colour, scale and texture.

The key to this look is the clustering. Rather than simply hanging individual decorations evenly across the branches, grouping different sizes and finishes together creates those larger moments of colour throughout the tree. The smaller berries and firework sprays then fill the spaces in between, bringing everything together without losing the shape of the tree.

The finished result feels rich, layered and contemporary, with the Latte adding warmth to the cooler blues and the Navy giving the whole scheme depth and definition.
