Step 1

Shape Your Christmas Tree and Add a Tree Skirt

Ensure that every branch has been carefully fluffed before you begin adding any decorations. Properly shaping your artificial Christmas tree at the beginning creates a fuller silhouette and gives each bauble cluster somewhere to sit naturally.

To help, you can stand back every few minutes while fluffing to check how the tree is looking from a distance. This makes it much easier to spot any uneven areas that remain.

Once you’re happy with the shape, position your Espresso Faux Fur Tree Skirt around the base before the rest of the decorating. Adding the tree skirt first makes it much easier to place neatly around the stand, rather than trying to fit it underneath a fully decorated tree later.

Step 2

Create Your Espresso, Latte and Mocha Bauble Clusters

Unlike a more traditional Christmas tree where every bauble is hung individually, this look is created using bauble clusters.

To create each cluster, group together an odd number of baubles in a mixture of Espresso, Latte and Mocha tones. Secure them onto a pipe cleaner, then twist the cluster directly onto the branches.

Arrangements of three, five or seven baubles usually feel more natural than even-numbered groupings. Varying the size of each cluster also helps the tree feel softer and less uniform.

Step 3

Tuck them into the gaps between the bauble cluster and individual decorations to add another layer of detail without overwhelming the design.

Their reflective glass finish catches the warm white lights beautifully, adding subtle sparkle while softening the transitions between the larger decorations. At this point, your Christmas tree should look full, balanced and thoughtfully layered from every angle.

Step 6

Style the Rest of Your Space
