Step-by-step

Step 1 Shape Your Christmas Tree and Add a Tree Collar

Make sure every branch of your 7 ft Pre-Lit Royal Fir Christmas Tree has been carefully fluffed before you begin adding any decorations. Properly shaping your tree at the beginning creates a fuller silhouette and gives every bauble, spray and pick somewhere to sit naturally.

To help, you can stand back every few minutes while fluffing to check how the tree is looking from a distance. This makes it much easier to spot any uneven areas that remain.

Once you’re happy with the shape, position your Brown Wicker Tree Collar around the base before the rest of the decorating. The natural green of the Royal Fir and warm wicker collar create an understated foundation for the rose gold decorations, helping the finished look feel soft and inviting.

Step 2 Start with Oversized Rose Gold Baubles

The largest decorations should usually be added to your tree first. So for this rose gold look, begin with your 20cm oversized rose gold baubles in matt, shiny and glitter finishes.

Place them throughout the tree, spacing them naturally rather than concentrating them in one area. Avoid creating a perfectly even pattern; instead, vary their positions and how deeply they sit within the branches.

These oversized baubles establish the main structure of the design, creating soft metallic focal points before the smaller decorations and finishing details are added.

Step 3 Layer 15cm Rose Gold Baubles Throughout the Tree

Now repeat the same process using your 15cm rose gold baubles, again mixing matt, shiny and glitter finishes throughout the tree.

Position them in the spaces between the larger decorations, allowing some to sit close to the 20cm baubles while others stand alone. This helps the different sizes and finishes flow naturally across the tree without looking too uniform.

By the end of this stage, the rose gold colour palette should feel evenly spread, with the larger baubles creating a strong foundation for the remaining decorative layers.

Step 4 Fill Smaller Spaces with 10cm Rose Gold Baubles

Complete the main bauble layer by adding your 10cm rose gold baubles throughout the tree.

Use these smaller baubles to fill the remaining spaces between the 15cm and 20cm decorations, with a little more focus towards the upper half where smaller decorations sit more naturally.

At this stage, the tree should have a clear structure with different sizes and finishes balanced throughout, while still leaving enough greenery visible for the glass berry clusters, sprays and decorative picks.

Fill Smaller Spaces with 10cm Rose Gold Baubles
Step 5 Add Rose Gold Glass Berry Clusters

With the main bauble foundation complete, add Rose Gold Glass Berry Clusters into the remaining spaces between the baubles.

Tuck the clusters slightly deeper into the branches rather than positioning them right at the front of the tree. Allow them to peek through the greenery and between the larger baubles so they feel naturally woven into the design.

Step 6 Add Rose Gold Glitter Berry Tip Sprays

Next, add Rose Gold Glitter Berry Tip Sprays throughout the tree to introduce more texture and movement.

Rather than pushing each spray straight into the branches, angle them so they gently sweep downwards. This softer placement helps the sprays feel more natural and prevents them from looking too rigid.

Vary the depth as you work. Push some sprays further into the tree so only the ends remain visible, while allowing others to sit closer to the outer tips. This helps connect the bauble layer with the finer decorative details added later.

Step 7 Layer with Rose Gold Coral Picks

To add a lighter, more delicate texture, place Rose Gold Coral Picks throughout the tree.

Position each pick at a slightly different angle rather than facing every stem in the same direction. Let some sweep upwards, some outwards and others across the branches, weaving them between the baubles and berry sprays.

Coral picks work beautifully when placed behind larger baubles or towards the outer edges of the tree. Their open shape helps break up the roundness of the baubles while adding another layer of soft, sparkling detail.

Step 8 Finish the Branches with Rose Gold Glass Baubles

To help tie the whole look together, add Rose Gold Glass Baubles throughout the remaining branch tips.

Position many of them closer to the outer tips so they can catch the light and fill out the overall silhouette. You can also place a few deeper within the branches, especially around the larger baubles and decorative picks, to build a more layered finish.

Spread the different shapes and finishes throughout the tree rather than grouping too many of the same style together. These final glass decorations fill the last small gaps and give the tree a beautifully detailed finish.

The Finished Look

This rose gold Christmas tree combines oversized baubles, glass berry clusters, glitter sprays, coral picks and glass decorations to create a warm, elegant festive look with gentle metallic sparkle.

Decorating in layers allows each element to build naturally, from the oversized baubles through to the smaller finishing decorations. The mix of finishes gives the tree depth, while the berry sprays and coral picks add soft movement throughout the branches.

Paired with the natural wicker collar and warm lights of the Royal Fir, this rose gold Christmas tree theme creates a sophisticated festive centrepiece that feels luxurious, inviting and easy to recreate.
